Tanvi Nagarkar Review at University Of Illinois [UIUC], Urbana | Collegedunia

A Glimpse of UIUC

TN
6.2 /10

It was a great engineering school and a change in environment

Course Curriculum :

Since University of Illinois is a really big school, specialized instruction is rare and often courses are very fast paced. It is possible to do well in classes and career, however the student does have to make the extra effort of reaching out to professors and being diligent with job searching.

Exams :

My SAT score was a 1520, and my high school GPA was a 4.1. I also participated in many school clubs and did swimming.

Placement :

Atleast 80% of students get jobs after graduation, and about 13% continue on in education. The average salary is 73,000 for Chemical Engineering graduates.

Events :

The campus life is very peaceful and there are great interactive activities on campus. There are many recreational activities and opportunities for students to excel both socially and academically.

Scholarship :

No I did not

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is 1:12. The faculty and staff are all very friendly and approachable but do have to be approached first. Dr Hammock had a great impact on me.

Hostel :

I was not abroad.
