Ha Nguyen Review at Trinity University, San Antonio | Collegedunia

Trinity University Experience

HN
7.8 /10

San Antonio has similar weather compared to Vietnam. It is also one of the biggest cities in the US. This will be helpful for job opportunities. The Accounting department at Trinity is well-known with the ratio of students having a job before graduation fairly high.

Course Curriculum :

Fairly heavy especially if you want to double major. However, teachers are always available for any questions about the material. I think hard work does pay off. It is not like it is impossible. The professors also try to keep up with the skills that companies are looking for and improve their syllabus accordingly.

Internship :

Yes. I did an internship as an endowment investment analyst two summers ago. The salary is $18/hour. I learned a lot since the endowment of my school is one of the biggest in the countries. Also, I am the only intern so I got all the attention I need.

Fees :

I paid some of my tuition and some are paid by my scholarship and financial aid. My school requires students to stay on campus for three years. Therefore, students also need to pay for housing and dining for three years.

Examination Structure :

Usually three midterms and one final. The midterms usually take 20 hours or more to study. The final can be cumulative or not depending on the class. Some classes also have taken home exams like writing papers and research reports.

Faculty :

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Most of my business major professors used to work for corporations so they could incorporate what they think is needed into their classes.
