Joseph Alleruzzo Review at Lewis University, Romeoville | Collegedunia

Overall, a great experience.

JA
8.8 /10

It was close to home and they offered the programs I was interested in taking. They also offered competitive pricing and scholarships for any new student. Lewis University is pretty well known in the Chicagoland area.

Course Curriculum :

It was fairly easy and down to earth. I felt that I was pretty well prepared for the real world afternoon I graduated from Lewis University. Some of the technology was a little dated, but I think a general education and major classes were good.

Exams :

I have taken the ACT, but I do not think Lewis University pays attention to these scores as I thought it was relatively easy to get into the school.

Placement :

Yes, but these were limited. I did not get any job placement or opportunities, but I got a job right out of college. I never really heard too much about these programs. I was very lucky post-college.

Internship :

Yes, but these were limited. I did not have an internship as I held down two per times jobs along with my education while attending Lewis University. I never really heard too much about internship programs.

Events :

We had all of the normal school events like homecoming, etc. along with holidays. This is a Catholic college so any religious holidays were also recognized. I did not really notice any events that were special.

Fees :

Tuition was owed at the beginning of each semester. You had to set up the payment in the front office building to make sure you are all set and let the loan companies and/or banks handle it from there.

Scholarship :

Yes, I used both private and state loans to pay for college. Overall the process was easy from the sign up to fulfillment.

Examination Structure :

These varied by the teacher, overall in the business curriculum, these were pretty laid back and easy. Students were graded mostly on team projects and presentations which is more like the real world rather than a standardized test structure.

Faculty :

Overall great, they were down to earth, kind, and seemed to really care about their students. I always felt challenged, but also accepted by all of my teachers.

Hostel :

I lived off campus at home. Lewis University is mostly a commuter college and I did not know how the housing structure works on campus. Most people who lived there were athletes from out of town. Overall it seemed okay.
