Learning from Intellectuals at George Mason University

SS
8.2 /10

The professors in the CS department. University transportation is available throughout the city.

Course Curriculum :

It's good for now. Programming intensive. The faculty are very knowledgeable. The coursework is also well-prepared. The classes and logistics are well organized for most of the courses.

Exams :

For a Master's in CS at GMU (before the pandemic) GRE of 303+ and IELTS of 6.5+ were required. The application for CS requires the student to fill out a few required courses from under graduation. It is very much suggested to have good programming experience. The courses require the student to work on programming-intensive assignments/projects immediately after the course commences.

Placement :

There is a slight decrease in placements due to the pandemic. But in general, there is a good scope for placement after graduation here.

Internship :

No, I didn't get an internship.

Events :

GMU has all the required facilities one can anticipate. There are two great stadiums, two gym facilities, 3 study centers, and everything else one can expect.

Fees :

$1,500 per credit (need 30 credits for Master's).

Scholarship :

No, I didn't receive any scholarship.

Faculty :

Computer Science has a very great faculty. They have written many books, currently working on research, etc.

Hostel :

The rent, food, utilities, etc. everything would come down to $450-600 per month.
