Alexa Review at Grand Canyon University [GCU], Phoenix | Collegedunia

GCU is great but it's growing too quickly

A
8.0 /10

Close to home and heard a lot of good things about the community on campus. I wanted somewhere where I knew my faith would grow and also where I could have independence. I had a lot of friends who went here too so that helped.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum is good for the most part but sometimes I feel like it might be a little too easy or surface level. For a college, a lot of work is just busy work. I would prefer to have less work and more exams.

Exams :

An ACT score of 32. SAT score of 1880. I'm taking the HESI soon as well. Those are all the tests that I have taken.

Fees :

There's a lot of fees for living on campus, like event fees or gym fees or 'connect' fees which I think ties into those two.

Examination Structure :

Most classes have 3/4 exams. Some classes are only exams while some classes are exams plus busy work. The exams are on a few topics at a time. Some classes have a cumulative final but not all classes.

Faculty :

I have always loved the faculty. The faculty has always been so kind and helpful.
