Cheaper than most other colleges and they give as much scholarship money as possible. The criminology program and Russian foreign language programs were rated well, and job placement after graduation is great. Smaller classes.
Course Curriculum :
The department is focused on students success and work to help any need. The curriculum is challenging and will help with future success in the workforce. Students are encouraged to move forth with their education and continue to graduate school.
Exams :
ACT score: 30. State level exams to graduate Texas high schools are waved for out of states students with a minimum SAT/ACT score.
Internship :
There are internship opportunities but I have not taken advantage of them. Many students have internal internships, but the school also offers a lot of internships that partner with other organizations, such as the government.
Fees :
There is tuition, but in addition, textbooks, printing, scantrons, etc. There are included charges with the tuition.
Scholarship :
Yes, I have a scholarship dedicated to competitive out of state students, which gives me the in-state tuition.
Examination Structure :
Each class and professor schedules and holds exams as they deem necessary. If you have more than 3 exams in one-day university policy allows you to move or reschedule one of them. They work with you to ensure success.
Faculty :
A faculty is a qualified group of people who work hard to ensure the success of students. Most have their doctorate degrees and have done related work or research within the field.
Hostel :
I lived on campus as a freshman, as required by the university. Accommodations were nice in comparison to other freshman dorms of schools across the country. After the first year, almost all students live off campus, in an apartment or house since Lubbock has a low cost of living.
