Assumption's sociology program helps students better understand the richness and diversity of social life in an increasingly interconnected, complex, and multicultural world. The Sociology, Criminology & Anthropology program provides the foundation for a wide range of occupations in which knowledge of human behavior, social relationships and institutional practices is important.

The Department of Sociology, Criminology and Anthropology prepares students for graduate study in anthropology and in related fields such as social work, urban planning and policy analysis, gerontology, education, law, journalism, and criminal justice. Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements:

  • Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
  • Applicants should have completed the following coursework: four years of english, three years of mathematics, two years of history and science, two years of foreign language
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from counselor or teacher
  • Submit a personal statement or essay
  • Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
  • Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
