Bachelor of Arts [B.A] (Spanish Childhood Bilingual Education)

Candidates who have successfully completed the Childhood Education with a Bilingual Extension (Spanish/English) Program, Grades 1 through 6, are eligible to apply for New York State initial certification in Childhood, Grades 1-6, with a Bilingual Teacher Extension.
Students are strongly recommended to take the following Pathways courses as they provide the academic content needed to teach Elementary school and ensure student can complete the program in 120 credits. The Content Specialty Test-Multi Subject exam, required for NYS licensure, will also include the content in these recommended courses.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and all other educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must contain all the records of courses taken, dates of enrollment and GPA
- Submit an essay describing about yourself and share an essay on any topic
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61 on iBT; minimum 500 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 85
