The CCS Art Education program is a unique, studio-based Visual Arts Teacher Certification program that combines an internationally recognized BFA degree with teacher preparation courses.
Art Education is a hands-on, innovative teacher certification program that focuses solely on the learning and teaching of art. The curriculum combines rigorous studio and education classes with core liberal arts courses to prepare you to teach in Michigan and throughout the United States. And if you’ve already earned your BFA, you may be able to complete our 27-credit Visual Arts Teacher Certification in two years or less.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Submit a portfolio of your work with minimum 5 pieces of work
- Submit any genre of visual art in any medium including but not limited to digital design, video/film, photography, painting, sculpture, jewelery, drawing etc
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
