IIIT Ranchi BTech Admissions 2024 registrations are going on. IIIT Ranchi  BTech Admissions 2023 are based on the JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA counseling. JoSAA has released 1-6 rounds of cutoff 2023 and seat allotment for IIIT Ranchi BTech programs. 2 more special rounds of seat allotments will be released by CSAB. The CSAB- Special Round-I and Special Round-II seat allotments will be declared on August 08 and August 13 respectively. 

JEE Main 2024 Session 1 The registration period will begin on November 1, 2023, and will end on November 30, 2023. IIIT Ranchi BTech Eligibility Criteria

IIIT Ranchi requires candidates to fulfill certain eligibility conditions in order to be able to get a seat in any degree programme. Those candidates who get fail in satisfying the conditions are not called for counselling round even if they give the JEE Mains entrance exam and get the required rank in it.

  • Candidate must have qualified his/her 12th standard final examinations in the same year that he/she is planning to take admission in IIIT Ranchi or in the year previous to that.
  • The maximum age of the candidates should not exceed 25 years in the year the candidate is taking admission in the institute if he/she belongs to the general category. If the candidate belongs to the SC or ST category, he/she is given a relaxation of 5 years. Hence, he/she should not exceed 30 years of age.
  • Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry must have been the compulsory subjects in the applicant's subjects of class 12th.
  • It is mandatory for the applicants to have received at least 75% marks in the compulsory subjects that are mentioned above if he/she belongs to the general category. A relaxation of 10% marks is given to the candidates of SC and ST categories. Therefore, they must have at least 65% marks in their final board examinations of class 12th compulsory subjects.
  • The applicants will have to appear for the All-India engineering entrance exam, JEE Mains, of the same year in which he/she wants to take admission compulsorily. The candidate must have secured a valid rank in the JEE Mains entrance exam to be considered for admission.

Candidates are selected based on merit in JEE Main Entrance exam for BTech degree programs seats at IIIT Ranchi. Candidates have to appear for the counselling round which is conducted by JoSAA. After all the rounds of JoSAA (rounds 1-6) are out, CSAB counselling takes place. CSAB releases 2 special rounds of seat allotment for IIIT Ranchi BTech admissions 2023.

IIIT Ranchi BTech Selection Criteria

  • Applicants have to select IIIT Ranchi as their preferred college while applying through JoSAA.
  • JoSAA BTech programme online seat allotment is conducted under which a candidate may be given admission to IIIT Ranchi, it completely depends on their rank. Applicants who are unable to get a confirmed seat in IIIT Ranchi can wait for the further rounds of seat allotment.
  • Applicants whose seats are confirmed are required to report to the nearest reporting centre with the necessary documents required to confirm their admission.

For Foreign students:

Admissions through DASA mode is depend upon SAT scores. The primary selection criteria involve total marks in the SAT examination. Candidates successfully submitting the applications will be shortlisted for the further process based on exam scores first. In the case of a tie, the candidates will then be evaluated on the basis of marks scored in Evidence based Reading and Writing (SAT) and Maths (SAT). Candidates tied even after the above will be given the same rank and treated on par.

How to Apply?

  • Step 1: Applicants must see that they meet the eligibility criteria of the institute, then fill and submit the institute’s admission form.
  • Step 2: Applicants must have to appear for JEE Mains entrance exam and keep in mind to meet the cut-off.
  • Step 3: Once candidates meet the required cut-off, they need to attend JoSAA Counselling for the final seat allotment.
  • Step 4: JEE Mains entrance exam score along with JoSAA Counselling round is necessary for the selection.
  • Step 5: Selected candidates will then be asked to pay their fees and submit all the documents which are required.
