- Placement: IIM Bodh Gaya has maintained a 100% placement rate since its inception. The highest package offered was INR 48.58 LPA, and the average and median packages were INR 15.92 LPA and INR 15 LPA, respectively. Approximately 70 companies participated in the IIM Bodh Gaya placements of 2023, offering 97 job opportunities. The BFSI sector emerged as the top sector with the highest number of offers.
- Infrastructure: In July 2019, IIM Bodh Gaya moved to its own academic block, comprising 5 classrooms, faculty chambers, a computer lab, a library, and an auditorium. The infrastructure is good, and great facilities are available. The campus offers games, sports, and a canteen. Additionally, the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The library has journals for every student, and the hostel has an inbuilt basketball court, tennis court, football court, and volleyball court, among others.
- Academics: As a mentee of IIM Calcutta, IIM Bodh Gaya places a high emphasis on academics. Currently, there are 15 permanent faculties and this number is expected to increase in the coming months. Various clubs in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Strategy and Consulting, HR, and Data Science are active throughout the year, arranging guest lectures and competitions.
- International Relations: IIM Bodh Gaya is making great strides in establishing International Relations and student exchange programs. We have signed MOUs with SolBridge International School of Business, South Korea, and Montpellier Business School, France. Talks are ongoing with many other business schools in Mexico, Vietnam, and other countries.
- Events: Throughout the year, students are engaged in celebrating various festivals, events, and sports-related activities. Some of the major events celebrated on the campus are Janmashtami, Independence Day, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Diwali, Christmas, Yoga Day, National Sports Day, and others. The sports contingent visits different colleges like XLRI and IIM Ranchi to participate in their events. IIM Bodh Gaya celebrates its annual management, cultural, and sports fest ELEGANTE every year.
Bodh Gaya is a center of enlightenment and a popular tourist destination. The town is well-maintained and is developing rapidly. The Gaya airport is just 7km from the campus and the railway station is around 16km away. Overall, choosing to join IIM Bodh Gaya is a decision you will not regret, and the brand of IIM will stay with you forever.
How much would I need to score in the CAT to get admission in IIM Bodh Gaya if my 10th CGPA is 8.2 and 12th percentage is 64%?

If you have no work experience and average past academics, then you need to focus on CAT and PI more.
I join IIM Bodh Gaya or try the CAT next year again? My 10th, 1Should 2th, and grad scores are 10 CGPA, 89% and 75%, with respectively no work experience.
Dropping a year is a very risky decision and has its own consequences. So it’s better you analyze your prospects and inclinations before forgoing an offer from any IIM be it Bodh Gaya or Sambalpur. It requires a lot of courage to risk an entire year just to target a better B School. Sometimes it’s worth it and sometimes it’s not. So I will suggest you to forgo such an offer only if
- You have a perfect plan to prepare excellently for CAT next year and you are confident you will score a higher percentile
- You are good at the DILR section. Even if you prepare for your CAT again, you cannot improve much in the DILR section. You can improve your quantum and verbal skills but not much in the DILR section. So if that is one of your weaknesses, I don’t think leaving the offer is worth the risk.
- You are going to work somewhere and gain experience. This is very crucial as during the interview you cannot say you took a drop year merely because you wanted to prepare for CAT.
I will say that IIM Bodh Gaya is not bad of a choice mainly because it is an IIM under the mentorship of IIM Calcutta.
