Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
A pass in 10+2 ( Class XII ) or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects. ( OR ) A three-year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education.

One of my friends was a student from Amrita and she pursued ECE on the Bangalore campus. According to her experience, in general, the Coimbatore campus is better among the two. The reason behind choosing Amrita University, Coimbatore is because of its well-structured infrastructure and great academic culture. The Coimbatore campus has also remained consistent in being ranked high amongst most Indian colleges. However, for the CS branch specifically, my friend suggests the Bangalore campus. The academic culture in the institute is significantly good. Moreover, the rules and regulations in the institute are not as strict as on the Coimbatore campus, letting students have a better amount of balance. Since you are in close vicinity with various IT companies and are surrounded by classmates belonging from households where either parent might be working in similar companies can provide you a commendable orientation as well. As per the recent trends the average and highest CTC offered at the Bangalore campus is 40 LPA and 80 LPA respectively. According to my friend, you will also have a better peer group with good communication skills at the Bangalore campus as opposed to the other two. In the Coimbatore campus of Amrita University, CSE is the department to get its seats filled first. So, there are no chances for you if you are from Andhra Pradesh. However, if you are very much interested in Computer Science, you can try for the Amritapuri campus. A rank of 3861 is somewhat close to the closing rank of CSE at the Amritapuri campus for students from other states. So, you have few chances of getting a seat at the Amritapuri campus too. I have a few friends from Amrita University, so I can give you some information regarding the required cutoff for admission at the institute. With this rank, you will get admission at Amrita University but for getting a CSE branch you will need a rank below 3000. If your rank is above 3000, then you may ask the management and you might get Bangalore or Amritapuri branch for the CSE.
