Admission to the MBA program will be based on CAT 2023 scores. Candidates who have registered for the CAT 2023 examination will be able to download their admit cards from November 01, 2023. BHU MBA Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria vary for each of the specializations offered in MBA at BHU, Varanasi. The details are elaborated below:

MBA & MBA (IB) Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have 50% in aggregate for bachelor’s degree examination, in any discipline from a recognised institution. A 5% relaxation is given to reserved category candidates.

                                                                            OR

A degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law is also accepted by BHU, Varanasi.

                                                                            OR 

Master’s degree in any discipline is also accepted for MBA and MBA (IB) admission.

MBA (Foreign Trade) / MBA (Risk & Insurance) / MBA (Financial Management) / MBA (Agri - Business) Eligibility Criteria: 

Applicants must have 50% in aggregate for bachelor’s degree examination, in any discipline from a recognised institution.

Applicants with a master’s degree are also eligible to apply for admission. 

BHU MBA Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to MBA and MBA IB must appear for the CAT exam conducted by IIMs. Those who qualify the CAT entrance examination will be called for GD and PI rounds conducted by the university. 50% weightage will be given to the CAT Score and 30% to the GD and PI performance. Admission to MBA Agri-Business/ MBA (Foreign Trade) / MBA (Risk & Insurance) / MBA (Financial Management) will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) conducted by NTA. Ques. Are entrances being conducted online for BHU MBA admission?

Ans. Yes, all entrance exams are conducted online for BHU MBA admission. Applicants have to report to their respective test centres and attempt the entrance exam paper from there only.

Ques. How are end term exams bifurcated for BHU MBA candidates?

Ans. There is a total 100 mark exam per paper in the end term exam. For which 30 marks are reserved for sessionals (internal assessment). These 30 marks are further divided in 20 marks for assignments / class quizzes and 10 marks for regularity of attendance and work submissions.

Ques. When are applications accepted for MBA and MBA IB at BHU?

Ans. Applications for BHU MBA and MBA IB begin from October and usually end in January of the next year. Applications are accepted online and applicants have to keep a tab on the deadlines for reference.
