BHU B.Com Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for B.Com admission at BHU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Commerce / Economics / Maths / Computer Science / Finance / Financial Markets Management / Vocational Courses (related to commerce) as one of the subjects securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed in the concerned subject.
AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2023 (applicant should be born on or after 2ndJuly of 2000)
Candidates must have passed 10+2 level in commerce from any recognized Board/Institution

BHU B.Com Admission Criteria 2023

Candidates seeking admission to B.Com (Hons)/ B.Com (Hons) FMM in BHU have to appear for CUET (UG) 2023. They are required to opt for Section II: 1.Accountancy 2. Business Studies; Section III General Test for the admission in BHU. Candidates who will not appear Section II: 1.Accountancy 2. Business Studies; Section III General Test, will not be considered for admission.

The application form for UG Admission 2023 is available online at the Official Website of Banaras Hindu University. The mode of application is Online only. Candidates can follow the given steps below to fill up the application form:

Visit the official website - www.bhu.ac.in
Click on the tab “Register Yourself”
Fill in all the personal details which are marked mandatory.
After successfully logging in, Candidates need to fill up the course details
Upload the required academic documents after the selection of the course
Upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature within the given size and format
After successfully submitting the form, pay the application fee by clicking on “Make Payment”
After paying the application fees, take the printout of the submitted application form

Every semester of B.Com has a total of 20 credits except the 6th semester where the credit is 22.
Grand total credit requirement for the B.com (H) course is 122

BHU B.Com End-Term Evaluation

The minimum qualifying percentage for every paper and also viva-voce is 35%. Passing the language paper in the Part-I exam is considered mandatory. However, it will not be counted in the general aggregate of the Results. Candidates scoring 60% and above shall be declared to have passed with First Division. Candidates securing marks above 50% and below 60% be declared to have passed with Second Division. Candidates securing marks below 50% be declared to have passed with Third Division.

A underrated college you should know

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I wanted to do CA and B.com hons is the best course for CA I think so. Yeah, so faculty to student ratio is also nice as around 15-20 professors are in the commerce faculty and all are very nice and student-friendly. The qualification of teachers is half are assistant professors and half are professors who both are very perfect in their subjects and you will be easily guided through your course. Teachers' methods are all different some bit strict some are friendly.

I am always been interested in the business world and have a strong desire to learn more about the intricacies of finance, accounting and economics. I see this degree as a valuable step in my journey towards starting my own business. The commerce faculty of my college is a diverse and experienced group of professors, with Dr D Uma devi as the head of the department, the faculty includes renowned teachers like Dr Vedmani Mishra, who is considered the godfather of accountancy, Dr Ranjan Bhattacharya's, Dr Usha Dixit's and Dr Rashika Jain's outstanding teaching style, Proficiency in teaching is also noteworthy and make them valuable additions to the faculty. The class strength is 98 girls. With such a low student-to-faculty ratio, each student likely receives individual attention and has ample opportunities to interact with professors. There is a total of six semesters of 6 months each. The paper was likely to be held at the end of march and in End of September.

B.com has a wide range of scope in future. Dav has a fair faculty-student ratio of about 1:40. The faculty of DAV is highly qualified and has good teaching experience. semester exams were held timely and well managed and not so difficult to pass if one has prepared enough for it.

I am choosing b.com because the is the best for commerce students in b.com.Here maximum of 1000+ students in the whole bhu but in the main campus, only 540, and this 540 is divided into 5 sections. here teachers are well qualified like all teachers are Ph.D. qualifications. The exam was a little bit hard but if you study normally or are well-mannered then easily crack it.

Life at BHU

I choose this course because I was curious about management studies and I wanted to study Commerce and learn its practical application. Secondly, I was having commerce in my class 12. In the future Goal is to secure the 90+ percentile in CAT and avail a good college for MBA. The course faculty is good and well-qualified. With 10+ years of teaching experience and few scholars guide us in our study through career guidance and mutual help. Our 1st year was a bit fast, because of corona admission process was delayed. But that gap was covered by conducting two semesters of exams within 8 months. There are (approx.) 1:15 faculty Professor/teaching staff over the student.
