VMOU M.Sc is a 2-year distance learning course at the PG level. The maximum duration to complete the course is 4 years. The university offers M.Sc program in 7 specialisations namely, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, and Geography. VMOU conducts M.Sc admissions in the month of July every year. The university also accepts lateral entry (admission to 2nd year) to the M.Sc Computer Science.

VMOU M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for M.Sc admission at VMOU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum TDC) from any recognized University in any discipline with at least Second Division or equivalent.
• For M.Sc Computer Science Lateral Entry: Passed PGDCA from VMOU OR Passed PGDCA from any recognised university with at least second division in Bachelor’s degree provided that 70% of the syllabus are common with that of VMOU.
