Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualifications for admission to Ph.D. programme in Animal Biotechnology/ Biotechnology shall be a Masters' degree in Animal Biotechnology/ Veterinary Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Any branch in Veterinary Science/ Life Sciences and B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.F.Sc. ( Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. ( Hons.) Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology & Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree.
The minimum requirement for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall be a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master’s level and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00 / 4.00 or equivalent at Bachelor’s level.

PhD Admissions to Inservice Candidates

Similarly, the minimum requirement for admission to PhD program for an in-service candidate in any of the constituent college of GADVASU is candidate must be an employee of a University or National Institute or Punjab government or UT of Chandigarh or Central government, with a minimum of five years of professional Teaching / Research experience in the relevant field.

Candidates can seek admission for any of the M V Sc / M Sc / M Tech programs, on the basis of the qualifying degree they had in their graduation.
