What students say about Chandigarh University - [CU]

Likes

  • Technological Edge: Impressive tech infrastructure, from labs to classrooms, enhances the learning environment.
  • In Sport college is Excellent because they help the students to participate at state level and national level.
  • The college also had excellent placement opportunities, with plenty of companies coming to recruit each year.
  • There are awesome food joints all around the campus with a varying variety
  • The library facility is just awesome you can get any book from there .
  • Campus facilities are best , every faculty support for student project
  • CU college is the best classroom because there have WiFi facilities.

Dislike

  • I came here for CSE, but due to my low percentage in class 12, it was not possible.
  • The college didnt provide us with an internship. Neither did they encourage us to go for an internship, which I feel is my worst experience here.
  • The placements for civil and mechanical engineering were very poor during the years when I was studying.
  • The fee policy is well set and the cost is up to the mark, but updating and paying fees is too difficult via NEFT/RTGS or offline methods.
  • The classrooms are pathetic and poorly maintained, with flies in them, broken benches, and nearly every bench having an exposed hook on its corner. This hook tears through clothes and cuts the skin.
  • The hostel facility is also available, but the food is not good. I would rate the hostels 3.5 out of 5. There is tight security for the hostels. The behavior of some wardens was also very bad, and they speak rudely with students.
  • In other words, BUniversity is not good for any student. All students from different states come here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because I was a computer science graduate and I needed to do a master's course to get a decent job, since it is a private university so the placement chances are high. faculty is maxed untrained and unprofessional. They are given ppts they have to see and teach which anyone can do. most of the faculty are themselves students either doing a phd or anything else related to the course.

Remarks:

the admission process was very simple. since it is a private university so you can get direct admission also but if you want a scholarship you can fill out an entrance which they say is compulsory but it is just for a scholarship and depending upon your score you get admission. anyone from any course can apply. All the details can be found on their site.

Placement Experience:

If you get a semester exam score of 7.5 cgpa above then your placement is secured but if you do not score well on the semester exam then no problem you are placed in mass curators companies and packages are too bad like 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA.

Remarks:

You have completed your bachelor's degree. MSC, MCA, and MSC it. Go to Chandigarh University's official website cuchd.in. No Reservations benefit. Schooler ship also applied if you get the best score in the CUCET exam. No need for improvements in the admission process.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements at Chandigarh university are very high it is like 90% of students got placements. Big tech companies like TCS, Wipro, cognizant, and Infosys also come here to hire students. Almost 1000+ companies come here.

Remarks:

There are no eligibility criteria at Chandigarh university. There is a test called a cucet that every student can appear. It is basically a scholarship test. After giving the test you university will guide you at every point about the admission.
