Mumbai University MA Economics Application Process

Step 1. Visit to the official website of Mumbai University for MA economics enrollment (mu.ac.in)

Step 2. Select on the official mum.digitaluniversity.ac

Step 3. Now, click on the "Apply Online" and then select ‘Register’ button

Step 4. Enter the following relevant details:

• Name of the candidates
• Father’s name
• Mother’s Name
• Email ID
• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Mobile Number

Step 5. Select on the ‘Submit’ button after completely filling the form

After submission of the admission form of Mumbai University 2021, students can now login by using their username and password obtained after the Mumbai University registration process.

How to Apply for Mumbai University MA Economics?

After you fill the Mumbai University admission form 2021, students will be required to fill the pre-enrollment form via online mode. In the pre-enrollment form, aspirants have to fill in all the necessary details according to their preferences. Applicants can perform the below steps to fill out their Mumbai University MA economics pre-enrollment form online without any inconvenience.

Step 1. Visit to the official website of Mumbai University

Step 2. Select on the link of ‘Pre-enrollment number’

Step 3. Enter the necessary details such as name, email ID and phone number

Step 4. Students will be needed to enter all the courses and colleges of their preference along with the aggregate marks obtained in the relevant qualifying examination.

Step 5. Select on ‘Submit’

Step 6. Take out multiple printouts of your pre-enrollment form for future reference.

Mumbai University MA Economics Entrance Test

1. Students will be taken to the M.A. (Credit-based) programme through an entrance examination only.
2. The Entrance Test will also serve as the base of change-of-faculty/change of subject test provided that all the minimum requirements are fulfilled. 
3. Backward class aspirants should have domicile of Maharashtra State or belong to the categories notified by the Maharashtra State such as

 (a) Scheduled castes (including the SC category persons who have adopted Buddha Religion) 

(b) Scheduled Tribes Caste

 (c) VJ/NT and Special Backward Class

 (e) Other Backward Class Categories.

4. There will also be an examination fee (non-refundable):
   •  Rs. 150/- For general category
   •  Rs.50/- For other reservation category
5. The Demand Draft should be payable to the ‘Finance & Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai’, or payable at Mumbai to be posted to ‘The Director, Mumbai School of Economics & Public Policy (Autonomous), University of Mumbai.
6. The form should carry a self-addressed stamped envelope.
7. Hall tickets will be sent in the envelopes. Also, write your name and address behind the cover of Demand Draft. 
8. There will be 2 papers which carry 50 marks each. 

Paper-I: Analytical & Reasoning Ability at the level of Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (50 marks) 

Paper-II: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics (40 marks) & Indian Economy (10 marks)
