The course BBA is really good and full of opportunities, but it is suggested that you complete MBA also to get a better salary package from a reputed company like KPMG, EY, American Express, ICICI Bank, etc. They have a highly experienced faculty, so you will get to learn a lot.

What is the actual average salary for NMIMS Mumbai? Is it really worthwhile to do an MBA from NMIMS, considering the huge fees and inflated placement reports?

One of my friends got into NMIMS through NMAT. According to him, it was not the most sorted choice as their rankings and placement reports are inflated. They show an average package of 16 LPA being offered to 550 students but it is impossible to get that. Usually students receive a 12-13 LPA for core subjects and 9-10 LPA for HR. NMIMS is a popular brand, thus the brand name attracts lots of students in Hyderabad and Bangalore campus. But they are not good enough as generally promoted. IMT, NMIMS, SIBM, XIMB were once one of the top private B-schools . But their standards have degraded recently. Only MDI managed to maintain and move forward. No other B-school increased fees like NMIMS. Its fees are more than XLRI and IIM A, B and C. The building at NMIMS is also not great, according to the fees that they charge. No other college charges its candidates for conducting CDPI or GDPI. Whereas NMIMS students have to pay 1000 rupees. After the release of the results, students have to pay fees of about 9 lakhs in just 1 week. Spending a huge amount for MBA education is not a great idea. People might consider it an investment, but you have to make an informed decision by also considering the ROI. Therefore, if you are an outstation student consider other colleges than NMIMS.

How is the placement at NMIMS Mumbai? I have heard that they show inflated figures in their website.

Placements at NMIMS Mumbai are overall good and they are especially appealing in the finance domain. Like any other B school, NMIMS also projects an optimistic view of the salary figures that are sometimes slightly inflated but they are not factually wrong. Connecting with past NMIMS students can get you a better idea of the actual figures. I also contacted my friend who was in the NMIMS 2016 batch. The average CTC around that time was 12 LPA which was pretty good considering the huge batch size of core MBA. The highest CTC that year stood at 32 LPA whereas the lowest stood at 8-8.5 LPA. Sector-wise, the average CTC of Marketing was higher than the institute's average. In addition due to lower strength in Operations, they also fared well in placements. The students in Operations were able to get the desired job easily. The placements did not face any major issue except that the in the last round packages offered were as low as 8-10 LPA when around 100 students were left unplaced. International roles were offered by Goldman Sachs, GE, Aliaxis group & few other companies. But the postings were mostly short-term in nature wherein you have to spend 3-3 months only. Overall I think the placements are decent but might deteriorate with the increasing batch size and fees.

What is the package offered to freshers in MBA from NMIMS Mumbai?

My friend was an Engineering fresher student at NMIMS and was very satisfied with the placements of freshers at NMIMS. Summer placements During the summer placements freshers are most preferred by sales and marketing companies, especially FMCGs. Even big finance companies hire freshers. The students whether freshers or work experience are preferred on the basis of the individual requirements of the companies which keep changing. So the placement is proportionate and no distinction is made. Final placements The final placements take place in 2 stages. The lateral placements are for 24 months and then executive placements are for people having less than 2 years of experience. Packages offered During the summer placements, freshers are offered PPOs which are hefty packages. However, for Final Placements, companies do consider work experience and thus experienced ones tend to land better packages than freshers. But the entire scenario is quite unpredictable as I have seen freshers receive the highest package as well as the lowest package. Placements depend on your overall profile which includes your grades and your luck too!

In the 5th trimester usually, campus placements start, and our college guarantees 100% placements for all students. Prestigious brands like jp morgan, Dell, mtr, rbi, icici, droom, marsh, etc are loyal recruiters and give handsome packages to students. The average package increases every year.

Icici, Dell, rbi, jo morgan, mtr, marsh, etc provide great packages and different roles for different specialisations. The highest stipend for 2023 was 85k per month. The internet duration is 2 months, ie, April and May.

Internships and Final placements go on for the junior and senior batch in NMB together starting from the month of September-October and eminent companies like Infosys, MTR, Salesforce, ICICI Bank, Dell, Adobe, Crisil, JP Morgan and Chase, etc. coming in the campus every year with an average salary package of 14LPA for the final placements and an average stipend of 40000 for internships. NMIMS Bangalore offers 100% placements both for Final as well as internship placements.

Internships are provided after the 1st year and in the 5th trimester, the final placement drive starts and every student is eligible for it. Many major companies like Yes bank, VI, Colgate, Herseys, L&T FS, Experian, and many more visit the campus and offer placements. The average package is 15.6 LPA for MBA-BA.

Placements from our college are pretty decent with an average package of around 5lpa and the highest package last year was around 1.2cr per annum provided by Amazon (Germany). My plans after getting the degree are to higher studies.

Companies like Casio, Brittania, and TCS provided internships for our students with an average package of 1.2lpa and the highest package of 3lpa. The higher the knowledge the student has, the higher the package.

Students become eligible for placements from the 5th trimester in the second year. Marketing and finance companies give most of the offers followed by HR and operations. Students get placed in different cities.

My Journey - NMIMS B

The placements are good. All the people get placed here. 100 percent placement. One can plan a Ph.D. after studying from here. Big companies like KPMG, and JPMC also visit this campus for placements. Overall good pool of companies.

Good internship opportunity for all freshers and people with experience. Big companies join in for the placements. Stipend goes up to 1 lakh rupees per month for some companies. Startups are also there.
