Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is the Deemed University imparting Medical/ dental/paramedical education, research and training. KIMS has Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Biotechnology constituent colleges. The university and offers admission to the following Ph.D. programmes

Only the candidates with the concerned PG degree/PG Diploma/UG degree ( Special case) can register for the above mentioned programmes. Seats are reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC etc. Check KIMS Admission

Candidates can register for admission by filling-in the online/Offline application form and submitting the required processing fee. Admission to the above programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination/Interview.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should have passed Post graduate examination in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks / an equivalent grade from a recognized university.
  • Candidates who have passed 2 years Diploma /Degree in the subject of Human Health Sciences are also eligible for Ph.D. registration.
  • Candidates with graduate qualification and at least 15 years professional experience in professional faculties like Ayurveda, Medicine, Law, Homeopathy etc. Candidates who have passed M.Sc. /2 years Diploma /Degree in the subject of Human Health Sciences are also eligible for Ph.D. registration.

Note: In case the candidate does not have any PG qualification, Centre for Advance Studies with consultation of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor can allow the candidate for Ph.D. registration under.

Course Duration

  • Candidates who possess MD/MS/PG Diploma can submit the thesis after the completion of two years.
  • Candidates who possess M Sc (medical Subjects) can submit the thesis after the completion of three years.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected for the programme on the basis of their merit in the Entrance examination/an Interview process administered by the University.

Candidates who have passed the NET/SET/GATE/JRF/M.Phil. Or UGC/CSIR/NBHM fellows are not required to appear the entrance test. Selection of candidates shall be based on the presentation and interview process.

How to Apply?

Candidates must apply for admission through online/offline registration process and submit completed application. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information.

Online Process: Candidate should log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

  1. In the “Admissions” section, click on “Online Application” Link
  2. Click on “Apply Now” button and fill in the application form
  3. Candidate should download the completely and correctly filled application form.
  4. The  print out of the  downloaded application form along with the Demand Draft of Rest 1,500/- in favour of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, payable at Karad should be submitted before the last date  to ‘The Competent Authority, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, Near Dhebewadi Road, Tal:Karad – 415110, Dist. ;Satara Maharashtra state’.

Offline Process: candidates can obtain the application form from the university office. After filling the application form completely, it should be submitted to the university office along with the application fee before the last date.

Note: The candidate should ensure that the downloaded/offline application form must have the recent colour photograph of the candidate, signature of the candidate and left thumb impression of the candidate.

The candidate must bring this downloaded, photo affixed and duly signed application and the following certificates in original along with two sets of attested copies only at the time of admission/interview:   

  1. Qualifying degree certificate/other equivalent mark sheet   
  2. Transfer Certificate   
  3. Community Certificate (For OC candidates community certificate not required)   
  4. Certificates for Special categories, if required     
  5. Nativity Certificate
  6. Work experience certificate (if required)

  • Application fee for candidates: Rs. 1500/-
  • Application fee is non-refundable.
