Course Details

Kerala Agricultural University invites application to its full-time UG program under its faculty of Agriculture and Management. KAU offers B.Sc. Hons. Co-operation & Banking program for the duration of 4 years on its campus only. Total intake for the program in the university is of 40 seats, 34 of which are filled by university itself and remaining by ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research).

Registrations for the program are done online basis and a hard copy of the same is submitted to the university campus on and before due date via post.  Admissions in B.Sc. Hons. (C&B) are based on the entrance test conducted by the university KAU. Courses and colleges will then be allotted on their performance. 

Candidates will be charged an application fees of INR 1000/- & INR 500/- for general and reserved categories (belonging to Kerala only) respectively which can be either paid online or by issuing Demad Draft from any branch of SBI in the name of the university.

Admissions in this program generally begin in the month of May and June every year. This year admissions for the same begins in early June. 

Foreign students applying for the program will have to apply to ICAR which is then approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Candidates with tourist visa are not eligible they have to apply for student visa through ICAR.

Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • 10+2/HSC or equivalent with minimum 50% total marks having Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics as main subjects.
  • SC/ST candidates must be passed in their Intermediary studies.
  • Candidates having Biotechnology in +2 are also eligible.
  • For CCA (climate change adaptation) course, candidate must have studied Mathematics in +2.
  • Candidate must be 17 years of age as on the last date fixed on submission of the form.

Selection Procedure 2021

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the entrance test, the colleges are then allotted to the shortlisted candidates according to their preferences and merit basis. The list will be displayed on the university website.

Candidates are admitted through the university directly or by ICAR. Seats are reserved for various backward classes belonging to Kerala under the provisions provided by the Govt. of the state mentioned in admission notifications.

Documents (Original) to be enclosed at the time of Admission

  • Certificate in proof of qualifications (Plus Two or equivalent certificate with mark list) 
  • Certificate in proof of Date of Birth
  • Nativity Certificate
  • Community and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (NCLC) in case of reservation candidates other than SC/ST 
  • Community Certificate (for SC/ST candidates only)
  • Medical Certificate issued by the competent authority in the case of Physically Challenged candidates
  • Aadhar Card 

Format of Entrance Test 2021

  • Questions will be of objective type.
  • Syllabus level is up to Higher Education extent.
  • The paper is divided into 2 parts i.e. Paper 1 & Paper 2 
  • Paper 1 consists of Physics and Chemistry of 60 questions each.
  • Paper 2 consists of 
    • Mathematics/Biology with 60 question
    • GK with 20 questions
  • Duration of Paper 1 will be 120 minutes & Paper 2 will be of 80 minutes. 
  • Both of the exams combines of 200 marks, which means no negative marking will be there. 

Candidates have to secure 40 marks (20%) to be considered eligible for admissions in the university. 

Both of the exams will be conducted on a single day under two different sessions.

  • Paper 1- Forenoon Session
  • Paper 2- Afternoon Session

  • Fill the form with all the required details.
  • Fill it correctly as once submitted cannot be rectified.
