University of Mysore Ph.D Eligibility Criteria 

The applicant must possess the following eligibility criteria: 

• Master’s Degree or any other Degree/ Diploma in the related subject from a recognized university. 
• A minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or an equivalent Grade must be secured in the qualifying examination.
• Relaxation of 5% marks will be given to the reserved category students.

Admission will be based on the performance in the entrance examination and interview conducted by the university.

• Eligible candidates will be called for the entrance examination on the basis of marks secured in qualifying examination.
• Entrance examination qualified students will be invited for an interview.
• The final merit list will be based on the marks secured in the examination and interview.
• Document verification will confirm admission.

University of Mysore Ph.D Exam Details 2023

• Duration: 3 hours
• Question Type: 50 Question will MCQ based and rest will be essay type.
• Syllabus: Follow the syllabus of CBSE/CSIR NET
• Maximum Marks: 100 Marks
• Qualifying Marks: Securing at least 55 marks out of 100 (50 marks out of 100 i.e., 50% in case of SC/ST/PC/CAT-1 candidates) in the Entrance Test shall be declared as eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D
