What students say about Jain University - [JU]

Likes

  • It was perfectly planned and dealt with by all the highly experienced faculty. It was thought through in a planned and perfect manner.
  • Landmine detection and drone agriculture are the projects, and we have achieved very good outcomes.
  • One of the best things about this University, which drives students to take admission here, is its placement opportunities.
  • College also gives campus interviews and internships, which help students secure placements in very good companies.
  • Activities are the best way to help us understand studying and writing for exams. Through activities, we gain knowledge. Sports are extraordinary, and labs help us relax and stay focused on the topic.
  • Food is provided three times a day, and the quality of the food is also very good.
  • Being a CA student, this is the best college with the best timings, and I chose B.Com, which is also helpful for your CA course.

Dislike

  • The faculty-student ratio is normal, like any other college, but the worst part of my course was that we had the same teachers every semester.
  • Internship opportunities are quite limited, and only local companies come to campus that offer unpaid positions.
  • Not much for this branch. There was one company that came, which is Bombardier, but that too was just for training. Other than that, no other companies came in.
  • The loan facilities are provided to students who face difficulties paying the college fee, subject to verification by college authorities.
  • As I mentioned, there were no extracurricular activities conducted in the college, and it was a boring college.
  • Students are genuinely unhappy with the environment, and girls are afraid to come out at night.
  • The management is the worst thing about college. They charge extra fees from students, saying that they havent met the criteria.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty members were excellent for the most part, although there were a few with extremely weak communication skills who had to be changed after they were reviewed by the class. There was a 30:1 student-faculty ratio and the teachers were very approachable.

Remarks:

I took the JET exam. The application form and dates were available online. I don't think the exam held a lot of weight in my case and my admission was primarily based on my profile (my 10th and 12th scores).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the B.Com course since I am interested in the banking sector and practical subjects. As I expected the faculties are also good at explaining the concept very clearly. The faculty teach us each and every concept.

Remarks:

In our college, they have allotted an officer especially to explain the eligibility of the course and benefits at the reception. They explain including the details of application fees and application dates are clearly explained by the officer. In case the student doesn't know to write the application, the officer fills the application with the details given by the student.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements after the 5th semester as far as I know. I wouldn't know about the companies as I'm still studying. My plans after getting the degree would be to have a great job with a good amount of salary and not with work pressure.

Remarks:

The admission process was completely online as we were not given the opportunity to visit college premises due to COVID-19. Although the admission process was quite smooth and we had discussed everything we wanted to know through call. There was no entrance exam as I had studied for my pre-university in the same college. There's actually no need for improvement in the admission process as college staff are well off in their work.

Placement Experience:

Third-semester students are eligible for the placements, the companies that visited our college are CRED, Wipro, Google, IBM, etc. The highest package was 10 lakhs per year. 70% of the students get placements.

Remarks:

A minimum 70% is required for the college they have admission where we can have admissions. I am from the general category so there were no reservations benefits they can fasten up their process of admission.

Jain University isn’t a good option for pursuing a degree. The management isn’t cooperative. Faculty members are not experienced. Most faculty members have just completed their graduation and don’t have any experience at all. They also charge huge course fees. A B.Tech degree from Jain will cost around INR 6.6 lakhs. The college fee isn’t worth the facilities that you will get. ...Read more
