MRIIRS Faridabad Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

  • A Master’s degree in the particular field of a recognized Indian University, or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree, with at least 55% marks.
  • Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil, course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate, and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same institute with an integrated program.
  • The candidates who are qualified in CSIR/UGC (JRF)/SLET/GATE and UGC NET examination will be exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance Test. The M.Phil qualified candidates also to be exempted from the entrance examination
  • Candidates who have cleared coursework of M.Phil from any UGC approved University with at least 55% marks in aggregate may directly appear for an interview to Ph.D.
  • 5% relaxation of marks is given to the reserved category students as per the provisions made by the commission.

An interview will be conducted where the candidates have to discuss their research area through a representation. Based on that, the committee will design a final merit list.

Ans. The examination pattern will be of 70 marks consisting of 80 multiple-choice questions. The 40 MCQs from part A will be based on the research methodology and 40 MCQs from part B will be based on the specific subject. The exam pattern will be conducted in online mode with a duration of 90 minutes.
