What students say about IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology [IITD]

Likes

  • I like the exposure a person gets here by his/her seniors as senior junior relationship here is what I must say the best I have ever seen
  • The campus is one of the best in the nation so u have a lot of space for everything
  • Marketing and Strategy Professor - one of the best professors in India I swear
  • The faculty to student ratio been one is to 6 is the best part of DMS
  • Hostel life and co-classmates are the best part of any college
  • Infra of the college is very good, all the classes are well equipped and supported with centralized AC.
  • Peer group at IIT delhi is very good and it motivates you to go ahead in life.

Dislike

  • In our discipline, there was no company available for an internship, so we had to do it at our college itself during summer vacation.
  • Campus jobs are not available for BTech students; however, fees are charged according to family income, so not much aid is required.
  • The mess menu is also quite boring, of not good quality, and moreover, depends from hostel to hostel.
  • Few hostels are old, and the mess food is really bad. We dont have non-veg in the mess.

Placement Experience:

After the 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements, after the 6th semester the 7th and 8th semesters are specifically for internships. Apple, Microsoft, Google and more than fifty 1 crore offers were made. The highest package is about 2 crores The average package is 30 lakhs Due to the recession, the placement percentage dropped but usually, 90 per cent of students get placements. Startup, entrepreneurship after my degree

Remarks:

The admission process was long and mostly done through the JOSAA portal after JEE Advanced. All the required documents are to be found on the JOSAA portal itself. General, so no reservation benefits. Admission could be vastly simplified by reducing the number of different forms to be filled

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics of IIT Delhi are quite impressive, with a large number of companies visiting the campus each year to recruit students for a variety of roles in a range of industries. IIT Delhi is one of the top engineering institutions in India and is highly regarded by employers for its rigorous academic programs and high-quality students. In recent years, the institute has consistently achieved a high placement rate, with a large number of students receiving multiple jobs offers from top companies. The average salary offered to students has also been consistently high, with many students receiving offers in the range of 8-16 lakhs per annum.

Remarks:

The JEE Main 2022 application process typically starts in December and ends in the second week of January. Candidates can apply through the National Testing Agency's official website. The cut-off for JEE Main varies each year and is based on factors such as the number of applicants, the exam's difficulty level, and the available seats. It is the minimum score required for admission to engineering colleges. The cut-off is released with the JEE Main results. To get into the Indian Institutes of Technology Delhi, candidates must score higher than the cut-off for JEE Advanced, which is usually higher than the JEE Main cut-off.
