IPU BAMS Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for BAMS admission at IPU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Candidates must have qualified a 10+2 exam or the equivalent examination with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • The candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (for General Category) and 40% marks 9 for SC/ST/OBC Category.
  • For Candidates with benchmark disabilities, the minimum qualifying marks are 45% (for General Category) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC category).

IPU BAMS Admission Guidelines

Candidates seeking admission to BAMS program at IPU must clear the NEET UG entrance examination conducted by NTA. The final admission will be based on the NEET scores followed by the Centralized Counselling conducted by CCIM/CCIH (Not by the University). 

IPU BAMS Selection Criteria 

  • A merit list is prepared based on the applicants’ scores obtained in NEET UG.
  • Next, selected candidates are called in for Personal interviews and a counselling session is conducted to select the applicants.

IPU BAMS: How to Apply?

  • Visit the official website of Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University.
  • Fill the admission application form with the correct requisite details.
  • The scanned copies of the documents are uploaded with the application form.
  • Verify the details provided in the form to avoid any errors.
  • Click on the Declaration box.
  • Submit the application form and keep a note of your auto-created User ID & Password.
  • Pay the application fee (INR 1000) through online mode of payment.
  • After the fee submission, the course details along with transaction ID will be displayed on the screen for reference.
  • Take the printout of this page for future requirements.

IP University BAMS Counselling Procedure

  • The candidates will be called in the order of merit and shall be offered the seat on a first come first serve basis.
  • At the time of reporting for counselling, the candidate shall produce the original certificates and one set of photocopies of the original duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or from the Principal of School/College last attended or self-attested.
  • If the candidate is granted admission, the photocopies of the documents will be retained by the University and the candidate will be required to produce the original documents in the college.
  • The Head of the Institution verifies the original documents of the candidate to ensure the eligibility of the candidate and the original documents shall be returned to the candidate.

Ques. What are the age criteria for the candidates for admission to the BAMS course at IP University?

Ans. The minimum age is 17 for admission to the BAMS course at IP University. The candidates must have attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years to apply for the BAMS course.

Ques. Do all the colleges under IP University conduct medical tests of candidates before granting admission to them or is it a requirement only for BAMS courses?

Ans. All the colleges under IP University conduct a medical examination of the candidates by the medical board of the respective colleges. Only those candidates, who are certified to be medically fit by the Board will be admitted for BAMS and other courses. If in the assessment of the Medical Board, a candidate is found medically unfit, his/her candidature will be rejected and the decision of the Board shall be final.

Ans. The procedure of enrolling for the Counselling session for the BAMS course admission at IP University is mentioned below:

  • All the NEET UG qualified candidates will have to present themselves for Registration for Counselling Participation and Verification of documents in person, on the scheduled date and time, decided by the University.
  • This Registration for Participation and Verification of documents will be valid for both the 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling. If a candidate has not registered for the same will not be allowed to participate in the 1st and 2nd round of counselling.
