Assam University BTech admission 2023 are are ongoing. Assam University Btech admission 2023 is based on JEE Main score followed by JoSAA counseling for 75% of seats and for the remaining seats the university conducts an entrance test. JoSAA Round 1 seat allotment results have been released on June 30, 2023. Candidates can check and download JoSAA Round 1 Cutoff for BTech admissions through the official website - josaa.nic.in. Online reporting for candidates allotted seats in round 1 will be done till July 04, 2023. JoSAA Round 2 Seat Allotment will be released on July 06, 2023.

Assam University, Silchar offers a full-time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech (lateral) course in 3 disciplines for the duration of 4 years and 3 years respectively. It is a credit-based course. The minimum requirement to apply for a B.Tech course at Assam University, Silchar is 10+2.

Assam University BTech Eligibility Criteria

For getting admissions to B.Tech program at Assam University, Silchar candidates need to follow the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

For admission to 75% (B.Tech) seats 

• Must have passed higher secondary examinations (10+2) 
• Must have appeared for JEE Mains. 

For admission to 25% (B.Tech) seats:

• Shall be a minimum of 21 years age as on 21st January of the year of admission.
• 5% relaxation is provided for SC/ST/PwBD in the qualifying examination.
• Must have appeared for the entrance examination conducted by Assam University, Silchar.
• For B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering: A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 in Science subjects.
• For B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with mathematics and physics subjects and any one subject from Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, etc.
• Qualifying marks in each subjects

For admission to B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Diploma degree in relevant subjects such as Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Food Engineering and Technology, computer science engineering, information technology, etc.
• 5% relaxation is provided to SC/ST candidates.

Assam University, Silchar B.Tech Admission Guidelines

The selection criteria for admissions to its B.Tech program is based on JEE Mains scores or the entrance conducted by the university itself followed by counselling.

• Assam University, Silchar will release a merit list after the declaration of result of JEE or its own entrance test result.
• Selected candidates will be invited to participate in seat allotment process regulated by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
• Candidates who will be allotted admission seats will have to visit the respective department for document verification.
• Candidates who qualify JEE Mains will be exempted from the university’s own admission test.
• The admission to B.Tech (Lateral Entry) is based on candidate’s marks in their qualifying degree.
