BIT Mesra MTech Admission 2024: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Seats, Placements

BIT Mesra MTech admissions are based on GATE 2024 score. The registration process for GATE is over and the admit card will be released on January 08, 2023. BIT Mesra MTech is a 2-year full-time program divided into 4 semesters. The program is specialized in 10 courses and offers a total of 234 seats. Apart from this, candidates who do not have a valid GATE Score can apply for BIT Mesra MTech Entrance test. The entrance test is conducted in the month of June.

BIT Mesra offers 10 courses in MTech program:

BIT Mesra MTech Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree either BE/ B.Tech/ AIME, in the relevant course with at least 55% from a recognized University.
•  The applicants of the reserved category should have 50% in their under graduation.
• Any applicant who doesn’t hold an Indian degree must also score at least 55% from any internationally recognized University.

Once the selection is confirmed, shortlisted candidates are required to carry the following documents at the time of reporting:

• Pass certificate of Class 10 for proof of age
• Marksheet of Class 10
• Marksheet of Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent
• Certificates and marksheets of Graduation / qualifying examination
• Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance- learning programs must carry proof of pass certificate, marksheets of qualifying examination and approval of DEC (Distance Education Council).
• GATE 2024 / GATE 2023 / GATE 2022 Admit card and Score card for MTech.
• Caste certificate / special category certificate (if applicable) should be in proper format and signed by appropriate authority.
• One passport size photograph, identical to the photograph uploaded during filling of online application form.
• Photo identification: (Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, College ID, Employee Identification Card are acceptable).
• College Leaving Certificate
• Migration Certificate

BIT Mesra MTech Course Details

BIT Mesra follows the syllabus based on the CSBC and OBE model that grants syllabus to all the major engineering colleges. The different specializations include different syllabus accordingly. The records of the subject and syllabus of various specializations are provided by the institute on the official website. The median salary declined by 49.6% as compared to 2020 but increased by 14.6% as compared to 2019. It stood at INR 3.50 LPA in 2019, INR 6 LPA in 2020 & INR 4.01 LPA in 2021.

BIT Mesra MTech Scholarship

BIT Mesra offers scholarship to MTech students who apply with GATE score. The amount is awarded to students with a valid GATE 2022/2021/2020 scorecards. BIT Mesra also provides 20% fee waiver to candidates who score more than 90% percentile in the GATE exam. Non-GATE qualifying candidates are also given a scholarship of INR 6500 per month in the 3^rd and 4^th semester for 10 months. Scholarship amount is awarded to only students who score 8.0 or more CGPA in the first and second semester without any backlog.
