Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree with:
- First-class is equivalent to 70%; or CGPA 7.8 (10 point system); or CGPA 7 (7 point system); or CGPA 3.33 (4 point system)
- Upper second-class honors are equivalent to 60%, or CGPA 6.7 (10 point system); or CGPA 6 (7 point system); or CGPA 3 (4 point system)
- Lower second-class honors are equivalent to 55%, or CGPA 6.1 (10 point system), or CGPA 4.5 (7 point system), or CGPA 2.67 (4 point system)
Students usually hold a first or upper second class honors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar relevant engineering or science discipline (for example, physics or mathematics).

Indian Student Eligibility:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Applicants from non-European countries who seek an international degree at Swansea University require a student visa. Once the student is accepted by the university, he /she should apply for a ‘short-term study visa (for a duration of fewer than 6 months)’ or ‘Tier-4 (General) student visa’.
The application needs to be made through the UK Embassy or UK High Commission at their place of permanent residence. One must apply for a visa 3 months prior to the commencement of the course.
