The University of East London offers B.Sc in Computer Science (with Foundation year) program for a duration of 4 years.
It is an Honours program and available Full-time and Part-time.
Students will learn the key subjects of the discipline, including software engineering and programming languages, as well as computer systems, computer architecture, and data structures.
Students will be introduced to software development, computer hardware, and computer networks. A Business Information Systems module will give students an introduction to the role within organizations of information systems and the processes by which information systems are developed.
In the first year of the degree, students will gain a solid grounding in computer science fundamentals, including information systems modelling and design, software development, networks, web technologies and mathematics tailored to computing.
In the second year, students will learn about databases, operating systems and data structures and will conduct a software engineering group project.
For the final year, students will have the chance to specialise in areas such as mobile application development, network security, distributed systems and artificial intelligence.
Students will have opportunities to gain valuable work experience including a work-based learning module in their second year and an optional, year-long work placement between their second and final year.
In addition to their practical skills, students will learn about the social and cultural implications of the digital revolution, gaining an understanding of professional and ethical issues in computing.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have UCAS points 64.
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.5 above.
BTEC and CACHE diplomas, with adequate UCAS points.
GCSE English Mathematics(C-grade).
