This four-year French degree is designed to meet the needs of beginners as well as more advanced learners.
With a diverse cultural heritage and varied history, France has been hugely influential in the shaping of the modern world. As a major economic and political force, it continues to play an important role today.
Students will gain a thorough knowledge of this global language while building an awareness of French and Francophone culture.
They will study core language modules and students will explore areas of French culture, politics, history, and literature that interest them.
The size of the department means that we can offer a range of optional modules on topics from politics and philosophy to chivalry in medieval France, via the history of the French language and postcolonial Francophone cinema.
The translation is an integral part of the course from students first year, providing an opportunity to specialize in this area if they want to explore this as a potential career path. This four-year course includes a year abroad.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have proof of their senior secondary school transcripts with a minimum B average.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students need to have Standard XII qualification with 60-85% overall average, including 75-90% in two relevant subjects.

Language Requirments:

Students require GCSE: English Language at grade C (4) or above, or an appropriate English language qualification.
