On our Biomedical Science BSc(Hons) degree course, you’ll practice the skills relevant to working in a clinical laboratory. The course will explore key subject areas such as blood science, anatomy, physiology and pathology, preparing you for a range of careers in healthcare including diagnostics and clinical research. By delivering a curriculum that is relevant to the needs of society, this degree will also provide opportunities for employment in other areas such as teaching, government agencies, and pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
The course is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) for a period of 5 years, commencing September 2021 intake.
In the early stages of the degree, you’ll study alongside our other biological science students, building up your knowledge in the core subject areas of medical pharmacology, microbiology and biochemistry.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students require 12 years of school education and successful completion of a school leaving certificate equivalent to UK 'A' Levels.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma is required.
GCSE: Grade 4/C in English and Mathematics

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed their high school education from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a Diploma in the relevant field.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
