Master of Science in English and Education Management at Coventry University is a program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
This program is also offered on a part-time basis for a duration of 2 years (UK/EU only).
The MA course offers students advanced academic study of English literature and language as well as giving the knowledge-base necessary to become an effective manager in a variety of education settings (e.g. Higher, Further, Schools – state and private).
This course covers four main study themes: English Literature, English Language, English Teaching and Education Management.
The program maximizes employability skills. The course has an emphasis on linking theory and practice.
Students benefit from the excellent level of both pastoral and academic support offered on the course, which includes the extensive support provided for the dissertation.
By studying this course, students will have the opportunity to obtain the vocational qualification Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) in Managing the Learning Process, awarded by Cambridge Assessment English.
On successful completion of the relevant modules, students should be able to obtain the full MA in English and Education Management (180 credits).
Students can also apply for the courses such as:
- PgCert, PGDip, MA English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics
- MA Professional Creative Writing
- MA International Relations.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Students who are not native speakers of English need to have a proficiency level equivalent to GCSE Grade C or IELTS 6.5 (N.B.: with a minimum score of 6 in writing), Cambridge Proficiency Grade C or above, Certificate of Advanced English Grade A or B.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year bachelor's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a B.Sc/B.Com/B.A (3-4 year) degree from well-ranked institutions with an overall grade of 70%.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
