Master of Public Health at Cardiff University is a 1-year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
The School of Medicine is the largest medical school in the UK, committed to the pursuit of improved human health through education and research.
This program is delivered by leading experts in the broad field of public health
The Master of Public Health (MPH) program provides high quality, evidence-based, multi-disciplinary learning experience.
This is a full-time, face-to-face program, delivered in 1 academic year. It consists of 6 core modules.
The MPH program lasts for a total of 50 weeks and consists of two stages – stage T (taught stage) and stage R (research dissertation stage).
The Taught stage lasts for 9 months, and consists of six 20-credit modules, totaling 120 credits, at Level 7.
The Research Dissertation stage lasts for 3 months and includes a dissertation of 60 credits at Level 7, to achieve a combined total of 180 credits at Level 7.
Full-time students need to attend up to 1.5 days of teaching per week.
These are scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday each week.
Each module involves e-learning and face-to-face lectures, fireside chats, small group exercises, and practical sessions.
The course helps students in their preparation for the UK Faculty of Public Health Part A examinations, enabling graduates to pursue professional careers in public health as well as a wide range of other careers, including postgraduate research.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students should hold a 2:1 level or higher degree undergraduate program from a recognized university.
The program has a health background, including dentistry, environmental health, health information, health planning, health promotion, health service evaluation, health service management, social work, medicine, veterinary medicine, nutrition, and nursing.
Non-graduates may also be accepted having a minimum period of two years of experience.
Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
- Andhra Pradesh/Telangana Board of Intermediate Education
- Central/Goa Board of Secondary Education
- Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, ICSE / ISC
- Government of Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Examination
- Government of Karnataka Department of Pre-University Education
