- M.Phil in Micro and Nanotechnology Enterprise at the University of Cambridge is offered on a full-time basis for a duration of 10 months.
- This is an on-campus and thesis-based program.
- The program is intended for those with a good first degree in the physical sciences and engineering, who wish to develop research skills and commercial awareness of the cutting-edge disciplines of micro- and nanotechnology.
- The program is consists of 16 hours of lectures per module with additional discussion groups and personal study time.
- The modules are taught in the first two terms and will be followed by formal examinations.
- Students have to attend 15 practical hours in this program.
- The classes are small in size and are organized for taught modules, for about 8 to 10 hours each term.
- The program consists of coursework that will include a number of practical assessments such as group work, class participation, and written work.
- Students have to complete at least two group presentations that are scheduled for the Lent term, while an individual presentation on the research project is scheduled for the Easter term.
- The Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy has a large and vigorous research school, with about 100 research fellows, postdoctoral scientists and visiting scientists, and more than 140 research students studying for postgraduate degrees.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a UK bachelor's honors degree, or equivalent in a related field from a recognized university.
- Students should have a good first-class degree with relevance to the physical or engineering sciences program.
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or C1 Advanced-Grade A or B (with at least 193 in each individual element) plus a language center assessment.
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or C2 Proficiency-Grade A, B, or C (with at least 200 in each individual element).
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year bachelor's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a B.Sc/B.Com/B.A (3-4 year) degree from well-ranked institutions with an overall grade of 70% or CGPA 7.3+.
