Bachelor of Science in Sport Rehabilitation at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
This program is accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT).
During the course, BASRaT student members may apply for malpractice insurance upon successful completion of the Sports Rehabilitation Practice 1 module for a small fee.
Sport rehabilitation focuses on understanding, preventing, and treating sports and exercise-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
Combining university-based experience with extensive placement experience, students will learn how to provide safe and effective care to people suffering injury, illness, or disease related to sports and musculoskeletal conditions.
Students are assessed using coursework, professional practice assessments, presentations, practical and written examinations, and research.
Students have practical sessions and provide services to clients in our onsite clinic at Glenside, equipped with hydraulic couches and teaching aids, such as skeletons and anatomical models.
Students have to spend at least 400 hours on placements, working with elite sports medical teams, sports injury clinics, sports clubs, fitness centres, and rehabilitation units, putting them in a strong position for future employment.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 120
GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English Language or Literature, Mathematics and Double Science, or equivalent.
A-level subjects: Grade C in Biology, Human Biology, or PE.
Baccalaureate IB: A minimum Grade 5 in Higher Level Biology, Human Biology, or PE.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
