Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
This course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) which means students will be eligible to apply for registration as a physiotherapist with them when they graduate, a prerequisite for practice.
The course is also accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
With work-based training built-in and outstanding onsite facilities, students will learn what constitutes good physiotherapeutic practice and explore the theories and subjects that influence it.
Students will be assessed using a mixture of coursework, professional practice assessment, presentations, and practical and written examinations.
The course has a strong practical focus, incorporating case-based learning and opportunities to engage with patients and professionals on placements, in-class and online.
Students will spend about a third of their time on placements in the NHS, and with specialist independent and voluntary sector employers, in a mix of environments.
Students will also be eligible to apply for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 128
GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English Language or Literature, Mathematics and Double Science, or equivalent.
A-level subjects: Grade B in Biology or Human Biology. 120 points from A2 subjects.
Baccalaureate IB: A minimum grade 6 in Higher Level Biology or Human Biology.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
