Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
This degree is accredited as fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and partially satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
Through this program, students will learn about structures and materials, soil mechanics, hydraulics, hydrology and risk management.
Students get involved with department research in transport, flooding, bridges, and sustainability.
Students gain skills and apply knowledge through problem-based and work-based learning in project modules. They also get involved in national competitions to build their skills and experience.
Modules are assessed through a combination of exams and coursework. Exams take place at the middle and end of each year.
Learning take place in a modern building with new studios, teaching rooms and well-equipped laboratories for concrete and environmental science, hydraulics, environmental physics, earth sciences and surveying technology.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 112
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.
A-level subjects: Grade C in Mathematics. Maths requirement can also be met by the Cambridge Pre-U Mathematics at Merit 3.
Baccalaureate IB: To include a minimum grade of 5 in Higher Level Mathematics.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
