Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
The course will develop students’ skills in teaching five to eleven-year-olds, across key stages 1 and 2, to professional standards.
Learning is through formal lectures, seminars and workshops, tutor and student-led study groups, and one-to-one tutorials.
Students will study in groups and independently, and use online resources.
Placements are an important part of this course. Students will spend several weeks of each year working in schools and educational settings to gain practical experience.
University will support students at every step, and help ensure they learn effectively.
Assessment uses a range of assessments across the program designed to enhance students learning and support their future employability.
Students will gain work-based experience throughout the course. By the end of their first year, students will have worked in a range of settings, including a six-week block placement.
In 2^nd year, students will involve a seven or eight-week placement, and in the final year, students will work in an educational setting one day a week and undertake a 15-week school placement.

GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Language, Mathematics and Science, or equivalent.

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
