Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with Writing at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.

In this course, students will pursue creative and professional writing alongside a rigorous academic curriculum in English literature.
There is a dedicated writing module every year and a placement module in year three.
If students study on the four-year sandwich course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.
Throughout the degree, students will engage in a range of writing techniques, from composing poems to creating journal entries and from writing critical reviews to creative fiction and non-fiction.
On completion of the English Independent Project module, students will be awarded the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 3 Award in Management awarded by the City and Guilds of London Institute.
Studying this subject is also excellent preparation for careers in the cultural industries, one of Britain's most exciting, diverse and internationally recognised fields.

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 112
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language, or equivalent.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
