Bachelor of Arts in Drama at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
The program focus on the areas of expertise students are passionate about such as writing, directing, devising physical theatre, and acting.
Students will have a wealth of opportunities to develop personally and gain real-world experience.
Students may also choose to progress to further study with one of the country's prestigious theatre schools such as the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
As students progress through the course they will have the opportunity to specialize in a specific subject:
- BA(Hons) Drama
- BA(Hons) Drama with Creative Writing
- BA(Hons) Drama with Technical Theatre
- BA(Hons) Drama with Theatre Directing
In the final year, students will attend workshops dedicated to helping them put together applications and the audition process.
Students can be assessed through live and filmed performances, portfolios of writing, written reflections, presentations, and essays. Every performance will be double or triple marked.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 112
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language, or equivalent.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
