Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Planning at the University of The West of England is a 5 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
BA(Hons) Architecture and Planning is unique because it's accredited by both the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
This is one of five courses that cover different specialisms in architecture.
Students will apply their learning on a year-long project combining the master planning of a complex urban area with rigorous brief development and research, all leading to a final architectural design project.
This course is project-led and taught mainly in studios. Learning takes place through lectures, seminars, laboratory work, tutorials, and computer-based techniques.
Students will learn computer-assisted design (CAD), drawing, modeling, and mapping.
Students get the opportunity to work on a six-week agency project in an architect's office, the local planning authority, or other appropriate organization.
With a joint professional qualification, students be sought after by employers in the UK and abroad.
As a graduate, students will be ready for a career as an architect, architect-planner, urban designer, conservationist, or town planner with a background in design.

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 88
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
