Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
Studying BA(Hons) Economics will give students a solid understanding of how and why, and the skills needed to analyse issues and effect change across a wide range of areas, including the public sector, think tanks, financial institutions, and charities.
The BA degree provides rigorous and accessible economics training to those with less mathematical experience.
Throughout the course, students are taught through a mix of lectures, seminars, independent student-led study, online materials, and group projects including presentations and debates.
Lectures, seminars, group project work and tutoring make up 12 hours of contact time each week.
In the third year, students will undertake advanced study in their chosen areas of interest, and complete a dissertation or applied project.
This degree offers opportunities to gain industry experience through placements, field trips, and guest lectures.
Students can also gain experience through short-term internships, paid work as a Student Ambassador or Peer Assisted Learning Leader, or through volunteering.

GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language and Mathematics or Statistics, or equivalent

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
