I choose this university because it was the nearest to my house as I didn?t have the option to live out. This university enables me to commute easily with an hour journey on the bus. Also, as there is a small number of students in comparison to other universities, this allow to have the lecturers attention individually and get more help, if needed.
Course Curriculum :
The curriculum and the modules are very well planned and executed. It offers a wide variety of psychology areas and gives you the option to choose where your interest is to direct you in your field of interest.
Exams :
I took an IELTS exam before enrolling to university and passed it with a grade of 7.5. I had to take this exam as my previous studies were carried out in Italy.
Placement :
Job opportunities are often emailed to students however it can be improved as not many jobs are advertised. There should also be more practical modules or a week or two in a placement to actually give an idea to students about what they are studying.
Internship :
No, but it does offer unpaid opportunities throughout the local areas and various employment opportunities too. There is also an yearly event on which companies, employers and volunteer organizations come in the university to present their work and recruit potential employees or volunteers.
Events :
There are a number of events carried out from the university especially night events. These events however only locals or students who live in the university halls can attend because of the late timing. Different sports events are also carried out but even these have late timings, making it difficult for commuting students to participate.
Fees :
The fee for my full time is 9000 per year which can be paid in installments. Other charges such as traveling or stationary are not included nor given discounts on.
Scholarship :
I availed from the student finance to pay for my fee as I am not working at the moment. I applied online and it gets paid directly to my university.
Examination Structure :
Essays exams are the most common type of exams where 2 hours are given to write two essays on specific questions. These exams can be seen or unseen. There are also multiple-choice questions along with short answers or short essay exams. The definition is also asked on exams.
Faculty :
It is very helping and the staff makes sure to reply to emails in three working days. The faculty is equipped with experienced professionals who are happy to help or answer any queries.
Hostel :
I live with my parents which makes things easy for me as I don't have to worry about cooking or paying the rent. The only con is commuting which even though is just one hour create problems because of bus timing and delays.
