Abhishek Patil Review at De Montfort University [DMU], Leicester | Collegedunia

My Best 2 Years At DMU .

This University ticked all the boxes that I had in mind for a great place to do career advancement for the next two years. One of the many things I like about this university is the enormous-beautiful-widespread campus, Its global rankings, the courses they offered, their UK rankings , employment opportunities after graduation, and finally a good life off campus as well.

Course Curriculum :

My syllabus covered every aspect of business from cultural diversity, to economics, to developing my very own enterprise. The course curriculum was well designed to create an overall smart business executive with knowledge of the current state affairs.

Exams :

My Scores : IELTS 7.0, with Listening, Writing and Reading having 7 on an average

Placement :

There are a lot of opportunities, but you need to apply for them 6 months prior to finishing your course. Industries could vary, city where you get a job could vary. Need to be skilful to get a job or research opportunity.

Internship :

I opted for an internship in India when I came to meet my family, but internship abroad isn't very difficult if your academics are good and with a little struggle applying to 100 places you would end up with a good internship eventually. You could apply for university jobs, which pays good as well as convenient and easy.

Fees :

my course fees was 16000 Pounds excluding 2500 Mba Scholarship I received

Scholarship :

Yes, I did receive an MBA scholarship worth 2500 GBP. I submitted a 1000 words essay on why I think I am eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is very rare and is given to exceptional students as a token of appreciation for their hard work and excellence in a particular field.

Faculty :

Faculty was well educated, distinguished in a manner that would take care of all the doubts, and would go to any extent to make us understand everything that's important.

Campus Life :

Dmu's campus is widespread with beautiful and new buildings for different faculty. modern infrastructure that would attract everyone's attraction and extracurricular activities that would help in the overall development of a student. the campus provides all kinds of support from beautifully designed library to auditoriums , outdoor activities like swimming , gym, variety of social clubs to join, dramas, sports etc etc. The list goes on and one.

Hostel :

I rented a private property with 4 other housemates, each of us had their own bedrooms, 3 washrooms, 1 kitchen with all the kitchen equipments necessary for living 2 years. Big living room space for house parties and functions, safe neighbourhood with garden and gym I front of the house, 2 mins walking distance from the campus with stores like Tesco, Lidl, One stop around the house. On top of the that the rest for my bigger bedroom was 280 pounds which is super cheap as compared to university accommodation.

7.8 out of 10
10.0/10Academic
10.0/10Accommodation
9.0/10Faculty
10.0/10Infrastructure
8.0/10Placement
