Bhumika Review at University Of Bedfordshire [BEDS], Luton | Collegedunia

University experience

B
7.7 /10

I consulted Career Connection Consultancy which is located in Valsad. I took coaching from the consultancy itself for IELTS preparation and the Consultancy guided me right from the beginning till the end till I migrated to the United Kingdom. The accommodation was also arranged by the consultancy itself. The consultancy helped me make the right choice of selection for the course and university. After migrating to the UK there was a constant support from the consultancy so that we don't feel homesick in the new country away from the family.

Course Curriculum :

My course curriculum included the following: it contained 120 credits. The degree was valid all over the world. The faculty was well experienced to share the best knowledge, not just from the books but practically as well. The study system is very friendly. It has a different approach to the students, giving no burden or stress of study, a course designed in such a way that makes one feel like favourite gameplay. There were different patterns to grade the students for all subjects, some had only presentations, some had group work, some included simulation projects, and some also indulged in open book exams. This gave a diverse experience to the student not just following a monotonous pattern of studies.

Placement :

The basic per hour wage pay was 6.25 per hour. Finding a job might seem a bit cranky at the initial stage until we build a good network among people. Once we are surrounded by a good network of people, there are ample jobs everywhere, and we are easily able to find one with references.

Fees :

There were different modes of payment. Since I was an international student, I paid fees through wire transfer. The early bird had a 30% discount as well. There were no other academic expenses as everything was included in the fees themselves.

Scholarship :

There was a scholarship criterion that included getting a certain percentage in the terms. The one with above 85% would get the scholarship. The scholarship was counted in the form of Pounds 500 every month.

Faculty :

Campus Life :

Campus Life was totally a different experience. The university is surrounded by diverse people from all around the world. There are different facilities like the library, with a huge database of books that can be issued any time along with the 24-hour open access to students. There is a sports club as well, students with an interest in sports can get involved. There is a cafeteria for one to grab food. The medical facility is also provided by the university. All the students are enrolled for a free NHS.

Hostel :

I opted for a Paying Guest living with other university students. The university had its own accommodation as well. It included all the facilities like laundry, food, entertainment, gaming area and so on. As I was sharing the accommodation with my friends, We shared the food and other bills as well, which reduced our burden of heavy bills.
