The particular college offers executive distance learning i.e., I can study while working. In fact the course is designed such that those who are studying would get more benefits like some tools to apply in their workplace.
Course Curriculum :
The curriculum is up to date. It is a global course, meaning they include material from different cultures and contexts. It is superior in terms of flexibility. We can suggest the material if we think there is something better than what they have offered.
Exams :
The particular course required people to have a medium of instruction of the earlier education to be in English. No further exams were required.
Placement :
It's really amazing. In fact, the services for distance education students are very good and better than my previous colleges and institutes. There are many programs and support forums. I can also connect with alumni and try to network easily which will help in my career growth apart from placement services.
Internship :
I have opted for Program Representative, which is like creating communication between students and tutors. If we are able to demonstrate our capabilities then we can compete for Program Coordinators at the University level. They offer training and courses to become a program representative which is great for learning leadership skills.
Events :
This is a distance learning course (I can go to college if I want). The way it is designed like canvas, assistance platform, and digital resources, it is technically top-notch. There is a special placement service available with Crash Course which helps us to improve with technical skills and English course to take the IELTS exam. All for free.
Fees :
The actual cost in Indian rupees as of 2020 is 4Lakh per year. I have got a scholarship that covers the entire fee.
Scholarship :
I have got a Commonwealth distance learning scholarship that covers the entire fee for three years plus gives a sum of 100 pounds every year for books. The scholarship was associated with the course i.e., I applied for the scholarship while applying for the course. I can't use the scholarship for any other course but for the specified one. There was one additional application I had to fill out to get the scholarship. It involved me writing a few essays indicating the need, purpose, and goal with respect to the availing scholarship.
Faculty :
We have three modules per year. Each module will have two teachers, one module coordinator, and four TAs. Each person will get approximately 18 hours of time to spend with a tutor and unlimited time to chat on the mail. Although, to be honest, we would need at most 3 to 4 office hours with the professor to get a grip on the subject. Therefore, the time given for discussion is more than necessary.
