Heriot Watt University Scholarships for International Students: Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

Heriot Watt University will be offering scholarships on a merit basis to incoming undergraduate students from India for the term starting in September 2023. The Heriot Watt University scholarships will be valued 40% on annual tuition fees for those demonstrating high academic performance. The eligible will receive equal scholarships for 4 years of their undergraduate studies.

Indian students seeking Heriot Watt scholarship are advised to apply earlier as the numbers are limited and are based on a first-come first-served basis. This means, whoever applies earlier will be given preference.

Scholarship Eligibility and Award:

For Example: a) if you have scored 90%, you will have the following scholarship:

Students with 70% and above would be eligible for 1500 GBP (1.5 lakhs INR) scholarship for year 1.

Note: Scholarships are limited in number and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are advised to apply early to take advantage of this opportunity.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Undergraduate Freshmen (First year entry): 70% aggregate in Standard XII
• Transfer Applicants(2nd year entry): 80% aggregate in 1st year of previous college degree
• English proficiency requirements:
  • IELTS: 6.0 with 5.5 in each component
  • 75% or above in English (any Indian School Board)
