Westminster Postgraduate International Full Scholarship

The Westminster Postgraduate Full Scholarship is awarded every year to the candidates of post-graduation/ master studies at the University of Westminster. The scholarship is applicable for all the masters level programs.

  • Covers the full tuition fee award, living expenses, accommodation, and flights to and from London.
  • Applications are available in September
  • Applicants will be awarded on the basis of need and academic merit.
  • The applicant must be
    • an international student from a developing country
    • Must hold an offer for a full-time Masters' studies/ course starting in September 2023 at the university.

The Westminster Postgraduate Full Scholarship is also available for the programs at the University of Westminster with the January intake. The deadline for applying for the January session is different. Students must keep themselves updated with the details regarding the Westminster Postgraduate Full Scholarship- January start.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Westminster International Postgraduate Full Scholarship students must satisfy the following given eligibility criteria:

  • Must be an international student from developing countries such as India, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc.
  • Enrolled in a full-time Masters program at the University of Westminster
  • Must be starting the program in September 2023
  • Applicant must hold an equivalent to UK first-class honors UG degree

UK First Class Honors Equivalent

Since a minimum of UK first-class honors UG degree is required, the table below shows the degree level equivalent for a few countries:

Applicants must note that they are eligible for only one scholarship. Multiple applications or multiple courses will lead to automatic rejection of the scholarship application.


Application Process

The application process for the Westminster International Postgraduate Full Scholarship is majorly completed in three stages:

STAGE I: Before Applying

Applicants applying for the scholarship must hold a conditional or unconditional admission to the University of Westminster.
Students must look for the program on the university website and then speak to the Course Enquiry Team for the details about the-

  • If the team will assist in the application and admissions process

STAGE II: Scholarship Application

Applicants are required to complete the application form offline. Applications for Westminster International Postgraduate Full Scholarship include the following components that need to be carefully filled:

  • University of Westminster Reference Number
    • An eight-digit number
    • Found on any correspondence from admissions office
    • Scholarship application cannot be processed without it
  • Course Applied for
    • Full name of the program is required
    • Must include the title of the award i.e., MA, MArch or MSc

    • Intended start date is September
    • Is automatically filled in
    • Applicants must make sure to match the program start date and the application form

    • A detailed plan on how the student expects to use the knowledge and experience gained at the university for the development of home country
    • Not more than 500 words
  • Financial Need
    • Demonstrate how the student meets the financial need criteria
    • Short statement, usually of two to three paragraphs

STAGE III: Submission of Scholarship Application

Scholarship applications for Westminster International Postgraduate Full Scholarship are to be made offline. The university does not accept applications sent via email or fax. All forms must be posted to the university address-

Selection Process

The Westminster Postgraduate Full Scholarship selections are done on academic merit. The scholarship committee of the University of Westminster awards the best students who can actively contribute to the development of the university and their developing nation.

The applicant will be informed of their application decision as soon as possible by email. The selection criteria for the scholarships are:

  • Equivalent UG degree to a UK First Class Honours degree
  • Development potential
  • Financial need.

Westminster Postgraduate Full Scholarship: Terms and Conditions

An applicant must understand the terms and conditions of the Westminster Postgraduate Full Scholarship carefully, before applying for the scholarship

  • Awards are only to the students taking admission in the September session.
  • Incomplete applications will automatically be rejected.
  • If the applicant sends the original documents, the committee will not return these.

Applicants can only apply for ONE scholarship. Any other level of funding or multiple course offers can result in an automatic rejection. If for some reason the Westminster Postgraduate Full Scholarship application is rejected, the applicant will be notified through mail. Re-applications are not acceptable for this scholarship.
