1. The course curriculum is designed to help students gain fundamental understanding of the various functional areas of management like, finance, marketing, HR and operations. The difficulty level of the course curriculum is average. 2. The good aspect of the curriculum is that it allows one to get exposed to several crucial concepts of the management which are highly practical in nature. On the other hand, the bad aspect is that most of the curriculum is out dated and not focused on current developments. 3. The courses is divided into 4 semester (2 years). Each semester has 2 exams (minor and major). 4. Each day there are approximately 5-6 classes for the first 2 semesters and then in 3 semester 3 classes each day on an average and in the 4th semester only 2 classes. Timings are usually between (9 AM to 6 PM) from Monday to Friday. 5. The teaching methodology is usually PPT based lectures and sometimes there are case studies discussion. 6. I personally Admire Dr. Vishal Vyas and Dr. Gaurav Aggrawal (both finance faculties). The way they deliver lectures, engage students and teach each concept in depth allows students to gain deeper understanding of the finance domain. 7. Yes, there is a criteria for minimum 75% attendance in all subjects before minor and major exam. In case there is short attendance students need to fill undertaking form and consult with the concerned faculty. If the attendance is very short one will not be allowed to sit for the major exam. (One of my classmates got debarred from the major exam in the 2nd semester for short attendance).

Here's a breakdown of the internship scenario: Percentage of Unplaced Students: On average, around 85-90% of students secure internships through the university’s placement cell. For those who are unplaced, Ashoka University encourages students to apply independently or through alumni networks and online job portals like LinkedIn, Internshala, or AngelList. Self-Managed Internships: Students who don't find internships through campus placements often secure internships independently by leveraging personal contacts, online platforms, or faculty recommendations. Paid Internships Paid Internships: The majority of internships secured through campus placements are paid. Around 70-80% of internships offered are paid positions, while the rest may be unpaid, particularly in social impact sectors or research-based roles. Stipend Range Average Stipend: The average monthly stipend for internships ranges from ₹15,000 to ₹30,000. Highest Stipend: The highest monthly stipend can go up to ₹80,000 to ₹1,00,000, usually offered by top consulting firms, financial instituitions, or multinational corporations. Lowest Stipend: Some internships, particularly in the non-profit or education sector, may offer stipends as low as ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 or sometimes none at all for voluntary positions. Most Preferred Companies The preferred companies for internships depend on the course, but here are some common trends: Economics/Finance Students: Companies like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and McKinsey & Company are highly sought after due to their reputation and high stipends (around ₹50,000 to ₹80,000 per month). Liberal Arts Students: Internships in media houses (The Indian Express, The Quint), consulting firms, and policy think tanks are common. Monthly stipends in this field range from ₹15,000 to ₹35,000. Bulk Hiring Companies Some companies hire students in bulk for internships. These typically include: Consulting Firms: McKinsey, BCG, and EY hire large numbers of interns across different roles. The average stipend is around ₹30,000 to ₹60,000 per month. Tech Firms: Companies like Microsoft, Google, and Tata Consultancy Services also hire in bulk for technical roles, with stipends averaging ₹40,000 to ₹80,000 per month. Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) PPO Conversion Rate: Around 20-30% of students convert their internships into Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). This percentage is higher in courses like Economics, Finance, and Computer Science, where companies seek long-term talent. Final Placements After PPO: If a student accepts a PPO, they are generally not allowed to sit for final placements, as the PPO is considered a final offer. However, exceptions might be made in case of exceptional circumstances, subject to approval by the placement cell. Internship Scenario Across Courses Economics/Finance/CS: The internship scenario is generally better for students in Economics, Finance, and Computer Science courses due to high demand in consulting, finance, and tech industries. Humanities & Social Sciences: Students in humanities fields may find fewer paid internships compared to those in economics or CS. However, opportunities in research, NGOs, and media still offer valuable experience, even if the stipends are lower. In summary, the overall internship experience at Ashoka is robust, with many students securing valuable and paid internships across different industries. While not every student secures an internship through the university’s placement process, ample opportunities exist both on and off-campus.

Yes there is a attendance criteria of 65% in our college . Till now I have not seen anyone being penalised for attendance in my college. My course curriculum is easy. In the first and the second year there are 7 subjects each semester out of which 3 are core subjects and the other 3 you have options to select for the subject you want to study and the 1 left is selected by the college only. In the final year you have 6 subjects 4 core subjects and the other 2 you have a option to select. The good aspect of my course is that it's easy and on the other hand the bas aspect is there is less of a practical knowledge and more of the theory part. My college is the morning one so the timings are 8:30 to 2:30 and then totally depends on your class timetables. Someday you will have 5 classes and some day only 1.
Course curriculum was easy but schedule of classes was so hectic. Good aspect was that course was interesting and easy to learn but bad aspect was huge syllabus. We attended 4 classes during a day sometimes research labs and theory classes. timing of classes was 8a.m.-4 p.m. We don't so much free time due to hectic schedule and so much file work. Teaching methodology was really appreciable. Teachers uses presentation, pdfs, even used board for teaching. Renu mam from zoology department she was reall brilliant teacher and her behaviour was polite and humble. She use to help us a lot. Chemistry department was so rude to students we were really tired of them. Yes 75% attendance was mandatory. If that was not fulfilled you have to come with your parents to college and tell a genuine reason to teachers why u didn't come to college and then they will issue you your admit card. Yes even I've been penalised for this coz I suffered from food poisioning one semester and my attendance was short and i faced lots of issues coz of that.

The course curriculum at PCCOER can be quite challenging, as it requires a solid understanding of complex technical concepts and rigorous problem-solving skills. While the coursework is demanding, students generally manage to pass, though some do struggle with the exams, especially if they are not well-prepared. Good aspects of the course include a comprehensive syllabus that covers the essentials of the field and prepares students for real-world applications. The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, and the course is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. On the downside, the workload can be intense, and the pressure of keeping up with the fast-paced curriculum can be overwhelming at times. Each academic year typically includes a series of exams, often comprising mid-term and end-of-term assessments. On average, students may have 4 to 6 exams spread throughout the year. Classes generally take place from early morning until late afternoon, with around 4 to 6 classes per day. Timings can vary, but students usually have a few hours of free time between classes for study or relaxation. The teaching methodology employed by the faculty includes lectures, practical sessions, and project-based learning. Some professors use interactive teaching methods and real-life case studies to enhance understanding, while others stick to more traditional lecture-based approaches. Among the faculty, I particularly admire Professor Dipali for their engaging teaching style and ability to make complex topics accessible. Conversely, I found that Professor Maithali could be less approachable and sometimes struggled to clarify difficult concepts effectively. There is a mandatory attendance rule at PCCOER, typically requiring students to maintain at least 75% attendance. If students fail to meet this requirement, they may face penalties such as being barred from exams or losing credits. I have seen a few students being penalized for not fulfilling the attendance criteria, which sometimes led to additional stress and the need for extra efforts to catch up.

Final placements at PCCOER generally start around the beginning of the final semester, usually in December or January. The placement process can last until the end of the semester, which means it often concludes by May, depending on the number of companies visiting and the number of students still seeking offers. While most students do get placed, it's not always 100%. Typically, about 5-10% of students might remain unplaced by the end of the placement season. To help these students, the college often conducts additional placement drives, provides career counseling, and helps with resume building and interview preparation. The placement committee plays a crucial role in organizing placement drives, liaising with companies, and assisting students with their applications. They help ensure that all students have access to placement opportunities and provide support throughout the process. While the process is generally transparent, there can be occasional concerns or perceptions of bias, especially if certain students or companies are given preferential treatment. Overall, the placement committee works to maintain fairness and transparency, but individual experiences can vary.
